Worker killed by high-voltage lines at Sanya Nanbianhai Road

On July 31, a worker was seriously burned to death when trying to repair high-voltage lines at the Nanbianhai Road, reports hinews.cn.
"Everything was going normal and suddenly I heard a loud scream and saw his body burning. I cried for help but he died almost immediately," said one of Wang’s co-workers with watery eyes.
The deceased, Wang Liqiang, a 39-year-old lineman, had been working in Sanya for 20 years. He and his co-workers were assigned to repair the lines starting at 8 am that day.
As they almost finished work around 11 am, the electrical current suddenly traveled from the high voltage line to Wang, who was still stuck on the lines.
After rescue by firefighters, the victim was found with electrical burns on both hands and on most of his body.
The specific cause is still under investigation by police.
