The new international terminal building of Haikou Meilan Airport, which is in its acceptance stage, will soon be put into operation.

 

The new terminal will be 13,200 square meters, with a 2,300-square-meter garden inside the international departure hall, which is expected to become another cultural symbol of Haikou.

The total investment in the international terminal has reached 810 million yuan and the first quarter has received an investment of 19 million yuan. Upon completion, the new terminal will offer 11 additional parking places for planes.

Last year, the passenger throughput of the airport once again hit 10 million. The new terminal will greatly improve handling capacity for the growing numbers of passengers in the near future.
