China Airlines (CAL), Taiwan’s largest carrier, announced recently that it will open direct flight services between Taipei and Sanya on September 6th, 2011, reports hinews.cn.
 
It is first time for both cities to operate direct flights and CAL will bring its total weekly flights between the two cities to 4 a week.
 
Besides, CAL will also open a direct flight between Haikou-Taipei on Oct. 30th and weekly service has been scheduled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
 
The 5 newly opened direct flights will not only promote tourism, cultural and economic communication between Taiwan and Hainan but also provide more travel choices for residents in both cities.
