Haikou has been chosen as the host venue for the 3rd Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) which will take place in April 2014.

The announcement came at the closing ceremony of the Asia Golf Tourism Convention 2013 held on May 2nd in Pattaya, Thailand.

The success of winning the bidding Haikou hosts 4 is the result of the hard work of Hainan’s tourism promotion agency. Hainan, which relies on natural attractions, entertainment and eco travel, is aiming to become one of the fastest-growing golf destinations worldwide in terms of golf holiday sales by 2021.

This premier golf tourism event in Asia is expected to attract delegates from all over the world to Haikou for a program of meetings between buyers and suppliers. The event is run by the International Association of Golf Tour Operators – a trade organization whose members are responsible for 85% of the worlds Golf holiday package bookings.
