Sanya to carry out management system reforms in tour bus industry

Illegal tour buses, poor services and safety concerns have called on Sanya Government to set up and carry out management system reforms in tour bus industry, reports hinews.cn.
 
At present, there are 10 enterprises operating the tour buses in Sanya, with 505 buses owned by private operators. The lack of management has led to a disordered operation between tourists and tour bus operators.

"We do appreciate the importance of tourism as a major economic engine for Sanya as the number of foreign tourists and high-end tourists in Sanya has increased. However, the current situation of tour bus industry is difficult to meet the market demand.”, said Mr. Cai, the General Manager of a tour bus company.

Besides, with the rise in tour buses operation, there have been complaints from tourists over the safety of exiting tourist buses.

To further regulate the market of tour bus industry and improve the standards of bus services in Sanya, the local government will invest a batch of new top tour buses and call for some of the competitive and well-known enterprises to involve in a collaborative way in the reform of Sanya's tour bus industry.
