Hainan to run extra bullet trains during 3-day Duanwu Festival holiday
According to Hainan Railway Station, the East Ring Railway Station will transport 170,000 passengers during the upcoming 3-day Duanwu Festival, which falls on June 3 this year, reports sycb.com.
Passenger flow peak is expected to be concentrated on June 4 and the number of passengers may reach 45,000 person times.
During the 3-day Duanwu Festival holiday, the Hainan Railway Station will arrange extra 8 pairs of bullet trains on June 3 and 5 and 12 pairs on June 4 and 6 to best meet the passengers travel demands.
Meanwhile, more ticket sales windows at each railway station will be added for passengers to save time to purchase tickets.
The railway authorities also inform the public that a real-name for the purchase of bullet train tickets will officially take effect from June. Passengers buying tickets have to present their valid ID cards.
