Starting from March 10th, the two-month selection activity entitled “Top Ten Uncivilized Behaviours around the City” has finally come out. According to the local government, nearly 23,000 residents and tourists were involved in the selection activity, reports hainan.net.
 
The ten uncivilized behaviours include unauthorized parking, running red lights, littering, betel nut juice spitting, price cheating and wearing pajamas in public places.
 
Among the list of uncivilized behaviours, the most annoyed behavior by locals is betel nut juice spitting, while tourists throw their eyes on price cheating.
 
The release of the top ten uncivilized behaviours shows government responsibility and determination to handle these irresponsible social behaviours, which will cause negative influences on the city’s development as an international tourist destination. Meanwhile, the local government has been discussing effective solutions to deal with these irresponsible social behaviours.
 
“As the managing of ten uncivilized behaviours involves different departments, it is very important for the public to coordinate with the local government.”, says Wu Qianbin, the Director of Sanya Civilization Office.
 
"We are also considering increasing a number of students to work as volunteers to educate and guide those violators.” He adds.
