The Yalong Bay Tropical Forest Park in Sanya

To ensure the reasonable management of forest resources in Sanya, the local government has issued a new regulation on protecting the forest parks across the whole city, reports hinews.cn.

According to the new regulation, permanent buildings, including residential construction, hotels, nursing homes and large entertainment facilities are not allowed to build in the major scenic spots and central area of forest parks.

Besides, to comply with the regulation, established structures in the forest parks are required to demolish or move out within the limited period.

At present, Sanya is planning to develop 10 forest parks with a total area of 204,000 hectares to further promote the development of eco-tourism in the future.
