Sanya speeds up construction of public toilets to improve tourism environment
To further improve city tourism environment, the Sanya government decided to invest 10 million yuan for building and maintaining public toilets in Sanya Bay this year, reports xinhuanet.com.
Sanya Bay, one of the major gathering places for local residents and tourists, has received visitor arrivals of near ten thousand each day. The 6 original public toilets along the 20-kilometer-long beach can hardly meet the increasing demands.
Since 2010, Sanya has invested 12 million yuan on the construction of public toilets across the city, with 13 new toilets setting up at Sanya Bay.
Meanwhile, Sanya has renovated 40 existing public toilets facilities in the area to make them more pleasant.
