Sanya to build 103 new bus shelters in 2011
According to the Sanya Traffic & Transportation Bureau, Sanya is planning to build more new bus shelters this year after investing RMB22 million yuan to transform bus shelters into harbour-style bus shelters in 2010, reports xinhuanet.com.
103 new bus shelters and 273 bus route signs will be built within this year, the bureau said.
In order to improve the bus services in downtown area, the transportation department is upgrading the bus stop devices and set up unified and standardized signs in and outside the buses.
