Sanya boosts efforts to update public buses across the city
In order to further improve the environment for public transportation, Sanya Government has updated 160 public buses and added 124 new buses since the second half of 2010, reports 0898.net.
At present, there are 600 buses running on the road with 31 routes covering the whole city. Among them, more than 500 are environmentally friendly buses.
Besides, the Sanya government has approved the project of 100 electric-powered buses as well as electric charging stations for electric vehicles.
With the city’s rapid development, the Sanya government is planning to build an operating platform for monitoring public transportation and establish 5 bus interchange stations in the future.
