Haikou’s air quality remains best in China for a third consecutive year
For the third consecutive year, the air quality in Haikou has remained the best among the domestic provincial capital cities.
During the 11th Five Year Plan Period, Haikou has invested 5.12 billion yuan into environmental protection. With great progress made in reducing the pollution in the city, the environmental quality has improved a great deal and Haikou came out on top among 113 major key domestic cities.
Besides, the city has also implemented a wide range of measures to control emissions from motor vehicles and dust pollution on construction sites to maintain its fairly good air quality.
