Sanya tourism revenue hits RMB5.21 billion in first quarter of 2011
Sanya saw a stable increase in the tourist market in the first quarter of 2011. The tourist arrivals of hotels and cruise lines reached about 2.5 million persons, up 1.89% compared with the same period last year. The total tourism revenue stood at 5.213 billion yuan, up 3.06%, reports hinews.cn.
In the first quarter of this year, the inbound tourists reached 119,900 persons, an increase of 20.3%. Besides, the overseas tourist market including North America, German-speaking countries and Southeastern Asia also showed healthy growth.

7 Major scenic spots in Sanya including Nanshan Cultural Tourism Zone, the End of the Earth, Wuzhizhou Isle, Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park have received nearly 4 million tourists in the first quarter of 2011.
Officials with the Sanya Tourism Development Commission also pointed out with the trial implementation of the Hainan Duty Free policy on April 20th, Thr Sanya tourist market is expected to make a new breakthrough during the traditional off-season period.
