The highly anticipated meeting of the world's emerging powerhouse economies kicks off this week in southern China's Hainan island and will be the first to include newly inducted member, South Africa.

Right now, preparations are well underway in Sanya, the city where the leaders of the participating nations will convene.

To ensure nothing goes wrong, China Southern Power Grid has even arranged electricity generators. Communication networks have also been strengthened as well, to ensure attendees can have access to all mobile devices.
