Construction on three major tourism projects speeds up at Haikou Mission hills
With an investment of 1.2 billion yuan, construction on three major tourism projects including the Lan Kwai Fong and a film-themed town with the Huayi Brothers and Feng Xiaogang is progressing smoothly at Haikou Mission Hills, a highly acclaimed resort in Haikou.
Covering a total construction area of 240,000 square meters, the Mission Hills-Lan Kwai Fong-Haikou was established by Mission Hills Group in partnership with Hong Kong’s Lan Kwai Fong with investment of 2 billion yuan. The whole project is expected to be completed by the end of 2013, and include shopping, fashion, entertainment and cultural elements.
The Mission Hills Group is also cooperating with the Huayi Brothers and the famous Chinese Director Feng Xiaogang to build an ultimate movie destination on a 1,500-acre site within the Haikou Mission Hills.
The movie town will feature different settings from Feng Xiaogang’s movies and each district will combine dining, commerce, catering, shopping and entertainment to establish Haikou Mission Hills as a leading entertainment and leisure destination in China. The first phase of the project will be finished in the first quarter of 2014.
Besides, major tourism projects will see the construction of 5 world-class international hotel brands including Hard Rock, new Ritz-Carlton, Hilton and Renaissance hotels.
