The Luobidong site, which is 7 km away from downtown Sanya, was found by archaeologists in 1992 and 1993. It was listed as a key national cultural heritage in 2011. It is the earliest place of human gathering found in Hainan, which can be traced back to 10,000 years ago.

According to experts, Luobidong site was built in the period of Stone Age and is of great value for the world to understand the history of Chinese civilization and promoting the culture of Sanya.

Besides, a 3D data model of this cultural relic is expected to be built to recreate the life of human beings in ancient times.
