The prices of electronic products in Sanya have been going up after the massive earthquake in Japan, where most of the electronic industries were affected and even suspended by the magnitude 9.0-earthquake and tsunami on March 11, reports sycb.cn.

The price is surging for a couple of days, a staff member working at Sanya Electronic City told a reporter. Some components of electronics like digital cameras have suffered price hikes from different levels.

According to a local dealer, it is likely to see some electronic devices in limited supply and the prices may go up slightly since some famous Japanese electronic products have taken a large share in the Chinese market.

Although prices have been rising at different ranges, a panic-buying phenomenon hasnt occur at the moment. Unlike daily necessities, sales of electronic products are the same before the earthquake, a staff member said.
