On Feb.18, 2011, Hainan relevant departments and tourism enterprises have worked together to open an online ticket business to facilitate passengers when traveling by Hainan bullet trains, reports hainan.gov.cn.

Passengers can book bullet train tickets via visiting http://www.sl800.com (in Chinese) in advance and then the online tickets system will send a certified booking number to their mobile phones.

After having tickets paid through a POS terminal at any banks, passengers will be told to get the tickets at authorized stations.

Besides, residents living in downtown Haikou can enjoy the service of ticket delivery to their doorsteps.

At present, more than 5,000 POS machines in Hainan support the credit card payment system for bullet trains tickets. Meanwhile, the POS machines set up in 9 Visitor Information Centers in Sanya can also be used for the new kind of payment.
