Hotel occupancy rate in Sanya still enjoys a high growth after the Chinese New Year Golden Week which came to an end on 8th Feb, reports 0898.net.

The average hotel occupancy rate of star-related hotels in Yalong Bay and Sanya Bay is above 90%.

Experts attributed the high occupancy rate to the government intervention on the room rates, which turned to be an effective measure to regulate the tourism market during the Spring Festival.

"We saw an obvious increase on the tourists consumption in our hotel compared with the same period of last year. Our restaurants are fully booked during the period," said Hua Xiaoyun, the GM of Resort Intime Sanya.

According to the Commission of Sanya Tourism Development, the average hotel occupancy rate reached 83.92% during the Spring Festival.
