On Jan. 25, police seized RMB 20,000 worth of drugs when they busted the biggest ever drug trafficking ring in Sanya, reports hndnews.com.

The main suspect, surnamed Li, together with 2 accomplices surnamed Liang and Pan, confessed they transported the drugs purchased from Guangdong Province to Sanya and processed drugs in a rental house, selling these drugs to entertainment places in the city to make huge profits.

The drugs included 3 kg of ketamine, 80g of crystal methamphetamine, 100g of heroin, 70g of marijuana and 200g of drug additives.

Since October last year, after two months of careful investigation, the evidence showed the drug trafficking ring had been in operation for some time and the drug processing location never changed. Then the police soon took action to destroy this hidden illegal drug activity.

According to a police officer, this drug case was the largest-ever drug trafficking case in Sanya in terms of amounts and types. It is also the first time for police to break up the hideout of drug processing location in Sanya.

At present, the 3 suspects have been detained for drug trafficking. The police are trying to trace the other people involved.
