In order to ensure social stability and people’s lives and property security during this year’s Spring Festival, Sanya police and relevant departments jointly launched a crackdown on firecrackers across the city.
Since December 2010, Sanya police have been strengthening supervision on every aspect of fireworks production including storage, transportation, and sales to ensure these fireworks devices meet safety standards.
At present, police have cracked 4 cases of illegal firecrackers and fireworks. A total of 516 boxes of firecrackers and fireworks have been seized and 5 people involved were detained and one was fined 10,000 yuan.
