Sanya to set up tourism promotion websites in 6 countries to attract overseas tourists
In 2011, Sanya Tourism Bureau will adopt a new model to promote tourism products in foreign countries to woo more foreign tourists to Sanya, the popular tropical resort of China’s Hainan province.
In the exploration of overseas tourism market, Sanya plans to establish long-lasting and fixed tourism windows in foreign countries including Russian liaison office, Japanese liaison office and liaison offices in Northern Europe.
In addition, Sanya will set up multi-language tourism websites in 6 foreign countries including Canada, Russia, Japan, South Korea, Germany and USA. These websites serve as important platforms to showcase Sanya’s tourism resources, and publicize tourism’s image and attract more overseas tourists.
This year, Sanya will focus on the tourism market in North America. The government plans to send a tourism sales team to the US and Canada to join the International Tourism Exhibition and hold regular tourism promotion activities there.
At the same time, Sanya will also actively explore tourism market in South Asian countries, especially inviting the Indian travel agencies and local media to pay their visits to Sanya.
