Sanya was voted the most favoured domestic travel destination by Chinese netizens for its warm climate and fresh air for the upcoming Spring Festival holiday
 
Sanya was the first choice on the list of the most popular tourist destinations in China during this year’s Spring Festival, according to an online survey conducted by Ctrip.com, a leading travel portal in China.

According to the survey, more than 60% of Chinese netizens would like to spend their Spring Festival holidays by traveling. Among all  tourist destinations in China, Sanya is the most favoured city by tourists, followed by Lijiang in Yunnan province, Xiamen in Fujian province and Harbin in Heilongjiang province.

Sanya attracts many tourists for its warm climate and fresh air. The choices of the tourist destinations indicate an obvious interest for a warm holiday in southern cities as most northern cities are too cold at this time.
 
In addition, Ctrip.com has also unveiled the popular outbound tourist destinations. They were Hong Kong, Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Bali, Maldives and other European countries.
