Sanya’s GDP expected to exceed RMB22.5 billion in 2010
In 2010, Sanya’s GDP is expected to amount to 22.5 billion yuan with a year-on-year increase of 19%. The local fiscal revenue reached 4.2 billion yuan, an increase of 58% over that of 2009, and the social fixes-asset investment reached 30 billion yuan, representing 42% increase annually, reports sanya.hinews.cn.
At present, there are 107 key projects under fully development in Sanya, including the projects of Haitang Bay, Yalong Bay, Nanshan International Tourism District.
In January to November 2010, the total retail sales of consumer goods have reached nearly 5.5 billion yuan, and the revenue from tourism has totaled near 11.8 billion in Sanya.
In order to maintain Sanya’s rapid economic growth, in 2011, Sanya’s GDP is expected to grow around 14%, with 18% increase in the total retail sales of consumer goods and 14% in the local fiscal revenue, according to the report.
