The 4-day Sanya International Mathematic Forum kicked off on Dec 22. During this forum, the Sanya Phoenix Hill was selected as the permanent site for the Sanya International Mathematic Forum.

 

This forum provides a good platform for international and academic exchange among  mathematic talents from home and abroad. In the long run, it will be of great significance for the national development of mathematic science since Sanya is chosen as the permanent site for the international mathematic forum center.

 

After the forum site is completed, Tsinghua University will undertake raising funds for the annual international conferences held in Sanya. By that time,  world-class mathematicians will be invited to exchange their academic knowledge and research.

 

Besides, Sanya will make full use of its own characteristics and advantages to create a good environment for experts to conduct research activities and try to make sure that the Sanya International Mathematical Forum is academic, public and non-commercial.
