On November 15, 2012, Hainan Hailv Exhibition Service Co., Ltd signed a cooperation agreement with Beijing Hualian Department Store Co., Ltd to turn Haikou Convention & Exhibition Center into a high-end international shopping center, which is expected to open for business on October 1st, 2013.

Beijing Hualian Group is designing the reconstruction plan and the first phase of the Haikou Convention & Exhibition Center will be built into a high-end fashion shopping center combining catering, entertainment and leisure.

Haikou is planning to build several large-scale commercial and shopping centers during the 12th Five-Year Plan period to improve the city’s commercial taste.
