Booming tourism brings fortune to Sanya’s high-end shopping market
The booming tourism in Sanya has greatly boosted the growth of high-end product market in the city. Hence, sales revenue of many high-end stores in Sanya has risen steadily during the period of time, 0808.net reports.
The Ritz-Carlton, Sanya opened an upscale retailing centre in 2008, which is home to many international brands including LV, TODS, Paul & Shark, Salvatore Ferragamo, and Zegna. According to relevant staff in the hotel, the annual sales of all the five stores reached about 50, 000 million yuan last year.
Meanwhile, the annual sales in Dadonghai’s Summer Department Store (夏日百货) exceeded 100,000 million yuan last year. More surprisingly, sales revenue of this department store was already over 100,000 million yuan till October this year.
A supervisor in Sanya Tourism Development Bureau told the reporter that the increasing number of high-end tourists in Sanya will undoubtedly expand the upscale product market in the city.
