Future urban transportation blueprint of Sanya unveiled
According to the China Academy of Urban Planning and Design, Sanya’s future urban transportation will not only provide citizens and tourists with convenience, but also make the city become a more beautiful sight-seeing destination, hinews, reports.
In the transportation blueprint, Sanya Phoenix International Airport will be connected with Haikou Meilan International Airport so as to bring the role of the two airports into full play. In addition, a second route to combine Phoenix Island with downtown Sanya will be built too.
The blueprint also shows that tramcars will be constructed along Sanya Bay in the future. Urban roads are likely to be expanded to 4 or 6 lanes, and this will greatly ease traffic jams.
What’s more, the public transportation system will be further enhanced. In other words, more bus lines will be put into service and better public transportation service will be provided to citizens and tourists at the same time.
