Alexendria Mills who was participating in Miss world 2010 pageant contest, has won the title, beating more than 100 other contestants in the competition which goes by the motto "beauty with a purpose."
The 60th Miss World pageant was held Saturday night on Oct. 30, in Crown Convention Center in Sanya, China.
The blonde Mills, 18, wept as outgoing Miss World Kaiane Aldorino of Gibraltar placed the tiara on her head and led her to a diamond-shaped throne, in honour of the pageant’s 60th anniversary.
The 18-year-old Mills described herself as a positive, spontaneous, open minded and outgoing person on the official Miss World website.
Miss Botswana Emma Wareus, was the first runner up followed by Miss Venezuela, Adriana Vasini.
Miss Ireland Emma Waldron and Miss China Tang Xiao also finished in the final five of the contest.

The Miss World contestants spent a month in China, travelling to both Beijing and Shanghai before reaching Sanya on the southern Chinese island of Hainan.
It was the fifth time in eight years that the beauty contest was held on the popular holiday island. The final marked 60 years since the first Miss World competition was first held in 1951.
