Jiefang Road is one of the main roads in Sanya, and traffic is often quite heavy on this road. To improve this situation, the Sanya government has decided to invest 10.65 million yuan on reconstructing the eight intersections on Jiefang Road. In addition, the interaction between Sanya Bay Road and Jinjiling Road and the intersection between Xinfeng Street and Hedong Road will be reconstructed too, sanya.gov.cn reports.

The intersections to be under construction are junctions between Jiefang Road and eight roads, which are Youyi Road, Heping Road, Yuejin Road, Jinjiling Road, Yingbin Road, Xinjian Road, Guangming Road and Tuanjie Road respectively.

The reconstruction projects of all the 10 intersections are estimated to be finished before next year’s Spring Festival. The reconstructing work mainly involves the modifications of lane markings, signal lights and electron police systems.
