Australian golfer Nikki Garrett finished fourth as South African Lee-Anne Pace returned to the summit of European women’s golf on Sunday with victory at the Sanya Open in China.

Pace shot a last-day six-under-par 66 to post her fourth victory of the season and moved to first place on the Ladies European Tour’s money list ahead of England’s Laura Davies.

The 29-year-old from Mossel Bay ended with a 11-under-par 205 three-round total at Yalong Bay Golf Club in Hainan Province for a one-shot victory over Austria’s Stefanie Michl.

Thailand’s Pornanong Phatlum (67) was third on eight-under-par, with Garrett (69) a further stroke back in fourth.
