Tourists enjoy tranquility while super typhoon approaches Hainan
After the successive rainfalls in Sanya, this year’s super Typhoon Megi is approaching Hainan and Guangdong at present. China National Meteorological Centre (NMC) predicted that Hainan will have three more rainfalls in the next ten days. Yesterday, the sunny and lovely weather in Sanya attracted many tourists to enjoy the sunshine on the beach, hinews.cn reports.
Super Typhoon Megi struck the northern Philippines at 20:00 on Oct 18th and hit the east part of South China Sea at around 22:00. At 5:00 on 19th, it was packing winds of up to force 15, surpassing Typhoon Saomai which brought serious impact to China in 2006.
According to NMC, Megi is now heading west at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour with intensifying wind forces.
