11 illegal buildings were demolished in the development zone of Sanya’s Palm Beach by the Law Enforcement Department of Sanya, reports Hainan Daily Friday.

The development project of Sanya’s Palm Beach is a key project in Hainan province and it’s themed as Relaxation Town, which will integrate the functions of relaxation, entertainment and habitation.
 
The illegal buildings covered an area of 6,000 square meters, and were mainly built after the project was launched, in an attempt to cash in on government compensation, according to the department.
