A multi-function Tourism Business Street in Sanya is going to be put into trial operation on Jan 1,2011, and will be put into official operation before the Chinese Spring Festival, which falls on Feb 3rd, 2011, reports South Metropolis News.

The 468-meter-long street is still under construction. It will integrate the functions of tourism, shopping, catering, and relaxation.

At present, there are 16 stores on the street, among which 9 are restaurants. Due to the lack of planning and coordination, many buildings that have been built there before are to be redesigned to fit into the tropical landscape of Sanya.

According to the report, disco’s and other noisy businesses won’t be allowed to open on Tourism Business Street. However, Café bars and other quiet and pleasant stores will be allowed.
