On the morning of 11th Oct., an engineering train departed from the Sanya New Railway Station, the southernmost railway station of the China’s railway network, reports hinews Tuesday.

At present, the main part of the station has finished and been put into use. The station hall and the station building are under decoration and they are expected to be put into operation by the end of the year.

The Sanya New Railway Station will be the largest station in Sanya. It covers a construction area of 16 thousand square meters and the buildings features the architecture style of a tropical island. It is located in Tiandu town, which is about 12 kilometers away from the main urban zone of Sanya.
