More than 100 potholes, of different sizes, appeared on Yingbin Road in Sanya after torrential rains, reports sanya.hinews.cn.

The road section that has the most dense pot holes lie in front of Sanya College of Hainan University, according to the reporter.

Vehicles had to take emergency measures to avoid being damaged when getting near some of those big pot holes.

Yingbin Road, a two-way three-lane trunk road, is the main express road for vehicles entering Sanya’s downtown area. The traffic is always very busy on this road.

Nearby residents say the potholes were most likely caused by the torrential rains that hit Sanya since Oct.1.
