Sanya tourism expects to be back on track after 11th October
Statistics from travel agencies showed that the subscription cancellation rate during the National Day Holiday stayed at a high level. The number of trips slumped compared to last year’s.
A sample survey conducted by the local government indicated that from 1st – 7th October, 10 scenic spots in Sanya received 242,300 tourists, down by 23.69% year-on-year.
Staff from ctrip.com said that although airline service and transportation have gotten back to regular work with the weather getting better, tourists should still take precautions on outdoor activities like water sports and mountain climbing.
Hainan Weather Bureau forecasted that the persisted rainfall would last till 11th October.
