Sanya ranked 5th among China’s tourist cities in net reputation, according to the Report of the China Tourist Cities Net Reputation in 2009-2010, published by the Sanya Tourist Development Committee.
Beijing tops the list with the highest net reputation index, followed by Hangzhou, Xi’an, Shanghai, Sanya, Guilin, Huangshan, Qingdao, Suzhou and Guangzhou.
The survey shows that 42.2% of travelers would share their travel experience on the internet after their trips.
At the same time, more and more travelers are obtaining travel information from the Internet. About 58% of travelers will decide their travel destination and arrange itineraries with the help of the Internet.
The report aims to help tourist cities to find  problems which exist in the promotion of tourism brands and draw up the right strategies for promotion.
