64 illegal building demolished in Sanya Haitang Bay
The Haitang Bay in Sanya
A total of 64 illegal buildings were demolished within the development zone of Sanya’s Haitang Bay on Tuesday, according to the City Administration and Law Enforcement Department of Sanya.
The development project of Haitang Bay is a key project in Hainan Province after the Haitang Bay was positioned as a “National Resort Coast”.
The illegal buildings, which take up an area of 90,000 square metres, were mainly built after the project was launched and were built with poor quality, in an attempt to cash in on government compensation, according to the department.
