The number of inbound tourists to Sanya hit 213,800 in the first half of the year, a year-on-year increase of 21.8%
 

According to the Statistics Bureau of Sanya, the tourist industry in Sanya developed rapidly due to the positive factors of building the international tourist island of Hainan in the first half of this year, and overseas tours are getting warmer apparently.

 

The number of tourist’s staying overnight in Sanya in the first half of the year increased 23.2% year on year. The average occupancy rate of restaurants reached 65.7%. The number of inbound tourists was 213,800, an increase of 21.8% year on year.

 

As the oversea tour market is getting warmer, the total number of international flights to and from Sanya in the first six months reached 1,206, an increase of 127%. The normal flights and tourist charter flights from Japanese, Korea and Russia increased rapidly.

 

The Russian market recovered the fastest. In the first half of the year, Areoflot launched tourist charter flights to Sanya from 5 cities including Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk and Khabarovsk. The total number of Russia flights reached 222, carrying 38,000 tourists, an increase of more than 200% year on year.
