Tanmen Fishing Port 潭门渔港
Tanmen Port is now one of the most important fishing ports in Hainan and one of the country’s first-class opening ports. It is a main distribution centre for the seafood trade. Large quantities of seafood arrive here as Hainan enters the fishing season.
The port provides seafood to markets and restaurants around the city. The ceremony to mark the end of the seasonal fishing ban is held here annually. In a spectacular scene, thousands of fishing boats set out to sea together from the harbor.
