Wuzhishan improves tourism infrastructure to support eco-tourism
Tourism infrastructure in Wuzhishan City has been upgraded to draw more tourists to the city, which is well known for its scenic mountain settings and rich Li and Miao ethnic cultures.
The government has allocated 3.6 million yuan for the installation of 70 tourism signboards to help visitors travel to the major attractions and hotels of the area.
In recent years, the Wuzhishan government has attached great importance to tourism infrastructure development. Last year, the city set up a tourism information service center, which received about 16,000 visitors for tourism inquiries.
Meanwhile, transport improvements are underway. The tourism road that links Maoyang Township to Shuimanxiang is scheduled to be finished by the end of this year.
With an average annual temperature of 22 degrees Celsius, and air quality said to be among the best in China, it is little wonder that Wuzhishan in Hainan province is becoming a popular getaway for city dwellers in the mainland.
Currently, a series of key tourism projects are moving forwardly. Major tourism projects to boost promotions include the Litong Cultural Park, Sanyuesan Square and facilities upgrades for Wuzhishan canyon drift.
