The Changjiang Government of Hainan Province recently signed a cooperation agreement with a local company to further develop cultural and tourism resources at Qizi Bay.

According to the agreement, cultural and tourism developments include the Junlingwang Cultural Park, the Stone Cultural Park, the Rosewood Cultural Park, mountain pioneering, ecological holiday apartments, leisure timber boardwalks, yacht marinas, and water sports facilities.

In order to develop Qizi Bay into a national coastal healthcare resort, the local government has invested nearly 1 billion yuan to build 24 ring road connections and civil engineering projects.

Currently, a number of luxury hotels are under construction at the resort. Among them, the Qizibay Grand New Century Resort, built with investment by New Century Tourism Group, China’s biggest non-state operator of four-stars-or-above hotels, is expected to open in October 2015.
