3 to 4 tropical cyclones forecasted to affect Hainan this year
According to Hainan’s meteorological departments, 3 to 4 tropical cyclones could hit Hainan during the upcoming flood season this year.
The first tropical cyclone to hit the city will probably occur in mid-July and the final one will hit in late October.
This year’s rainy season is expected to start from July and total annual precipitation is forecasted to be less than the previous year.
The average monthly temperature in May, June and July in the city is expected to be higher than those of last year.
Besides, the amount of tropical cyclones, rainstorms and flash floods will be less than the annual average.
