Hainan sees tropical fruit exports increase in May
The arrival of summer has caused an increase in demand for seasonal tropical fruit from traders from both home and abroad.
According to Haikou Meilan Airport, currently a total of 18 tons of fresh fruit, like litchi and wax apples, have been supplied to overseas markets since May.
Japan, Singapore, France and Spain are among the major export destinations of Hainan tropical fruit.
Hainan has a tropical moist monsoonal climate. The island’s tropical climate makes it China’s leading producer of tropical fruits and plants.
