Hainan Changjiang Bombax Flower Tourism Month attracts 162K tourists
Since the 2015 Hainan Changjiang Bombax Flower Tourism Month kicked off on February 1st, Changjiang County has attracted 162,000 tourist arrivals as of March 6th, a year-on-year increase of 57.2%.
The tourism revenue generated from it totaled 84.29 million yuan and the average hotel occupancy during the period reached 93%.
The month long festival highlighted the local bombax flower blossom season. The bombax flower festival offered a great opportunity to get out of the cities and into the fresh air. Surrounded by bombax trees, tourists can relax and drink in the natural surroundings.
Changjiang is a place of unspoilt beauty, and after appreciating the bombax flower blossoms, visitors have the opportunity to visit nearby sites such as the amazing Chess Bay, the Nanyao River, which is surrounded by picturesque karst rocks, and the Bawangling Gibbon Conservation Nature Reserve.
