With more international attention being paid to Wanning’s ideal surfing conditions, Riyue Bay has attracted increasing numbers of surfing enthusiasts and tourists during the CNY holiday.
 
Dashan, the owner of a surfing club at Riyue Bay, was impressed by the changes seen in Wanning, an area that is emerging as a popular surfing destination in China.
 
Wanning is beginning to build a reputation as one of the top surfing spots in the world after the success of hosting two Swatch Pro China events, the Hainan Classic and the ASP Men’s contest. The international events have attracted surfing professionals from all over the world, including Holly Beck, Sam Bleakley, Emiliano Cataldi and Erwan Simon.
 
Riding waves appears to be the most popular tourist activity, but more and more visitors are also coming to camp here.
