Hainan’s Lingshui sees tourism boom during CNY holiday
Lingshui has seen a tourist boom during the Chinese New Year holiday thanks to the government’s greater efforts to promote the city’s winter tourism offerings.
Statistics from the local tourism authority showed that Lingshui received a total of 91,586 tourist arrivals from February 18th-21st, up 21.9% year-on-year, among which included 17,942 overnight tourists, up 24.5% year-on-year, and tourism revenue increased 31.1% year-on-year to 12.84 million yuan.
Boundary Islet, China’s first 5A Sea-island Scenic Spot in Lingshui, saw tourism numbers hit a record high on February 21st, the 4th day of China’s 7-day CNY holiday, as more than 13,748 people flocked to the island in a single day.
