Hainan’s largest Ro-Pax ship ‘Haitang Bay’ to be put in service
“Haitang Bay”, Hainan’s largest luxury Ro-Pax passenger ship so far, is expected to be put into service in the coming days to enhance the transportation capacity for the upcoming Chinese New Year holiday.
The ship, constructed by the Hainan Strait Shipping Co., Ltd., has a gross tonnage of 10,124 tons.
The ship features a vehicle hold loading capacity of 999 seats for passengers and 49 vehicle parking spots.
The ship’s communal areas include such luxuries as a supermarket, escalators, a children’s playroom, a leisure bar and a cafeteria.
To meet the traffic demands ahead of the Chinese New Year holiday, there are a total of 9 Ro-Pax ships that will be in operation.
