A historical clothing exhibit, giving a peek into the exotic clothings styles of the rulers and nobles from the glorious Chinese Qing Dynasty, is currently on display at the Hainan Museum, according to reports.

The exhibition features a total of 56 clothing pieces and accessories sourced from Chinese art collections.

Among these precious articles, some court dresses are making their first public appearance. These genuine, rarely-seen dresses are evidence of what the emperors wore on different occasions.

A staff member at the Hainan Museum says it is the first time that the court dresses and clothing have been shown in large quantities.

The exhibition is scheduled to run till January 18th, 2015.
